13 Habits of Humble People

To be humble is not to think less of oneself, but to think of oneself less.

Humble people are confident and competent in themselves so much that, as a result, they seek to self-actualize by helping theirs.

Humble people let their actions speak for their ideals.

Humble people…

  1. Are situationally aware
  • Aware of oneself, the group, and actions
  • Aim your focus outward to learn more about the situation
  1. Retain relationships Help friends
  1. Make difficult decisions with ease
  • Put other people’s needs above your own
  • Make decisions based on a shared purpose
  1. Put others first
  • Know your self-worth
  • Focus on making sure people know they are cared for
  1. Listen
  • Actively listen to others before you speak
  • Be eager to understand others
  1. Are curious
  • Seek knowledge
  • Build knowledge from experience
  1. Speak their minds
  • Don’t be afraid to be wrong
  1. Take time to say “Thank you”
  • Take time to express thanks for the little things
  1. Have an abundance mentality
  • There are no winners/losers
  • There is enough for everyone
  1. Start sentences with “you” rather than “I”
  • Put others at the front of your thoughts
  • Brag about others!
  1. Accept feedback
  • Actively seek feedback
  • Be open to it!
  1. Assume responsibility Instead of blaming others, take responsibility for your part
  1. Ask for help
  • No one has all the answers and that’s ok
  • Be open to asking people you trust for help
